My wires aren’t properly insulated.
As a direct result, I’ve got a lot of output. I’ve been drawing since I was just a little guy, writing since grade school, and after having gotten an electric guitar in the 7th grade, making music since…well, the 7th grade.
The drawings have always been grim; lots of blood and animals fighting and shit when I was a kid. To this day, I can only draw creepy. Took some painting classes in college, but I was doing a lot of drugs back then, so…some of it stuck. Just not the pretty parts.
A very dear and now very dead friend once told me that of all the crap I make, my writing was the most polished. I certainly feel the most confident with words, language comes naturally to me. I am very lucky this way, I can hear and absorb and synthesize.
I didn’t do much musically until fairly recently. I took guitar lessons when I was a teenager and played in a band or two but recently, I played and sang a little song for my wife, and she said she thought I was good. So, I started practicing and making music.
So now I live on the north side of the city and work as a social worker after a decade plus long career as a commercial photographer. I spend my spare time writing and drawing and singing and making shit and I put it all here.
